About our Program

Matricks Acro is a nationally-renowned acrobatics intensive that offers unique and challenging classes to participants of all levels. We’re proud to be The Leading Acro Intensive in Canada and are dedicated to providing our students with the best training possible during our weekend intensives. Our expert instructors emphasize on training flexibility, strength, and coordination to create strong and capable acrobats. Through our comprehensive curriculum, participants will learn walkovers, aerials, tumbling, contortion, balances, double tricks, and much more. At our weekend Intensives participants have the opportunity to join our Matricks Acro Army. Visit our scholarship page to learn more about the awards that can be won at our events.

Matricks Acro offers scholarships at each of our Intensives which recognizes students that display acrobatic skill, dedication, hard work, sportsmanship and initiative. Acrobats awarded scholarships at our Intensives are then welcomed into the Matricks Acro Army for two consecutive seasons.

The Top Acrobat Scholarship is a full scholarship that is given to an acrobat who has shown versatility in all aspects of acro. They demonstrate outstanding technique in all skills.

The Matricks Troop Scholarship is a partial scholarship that is given to acorbats who demonstrate great potential. They are dedicated in applying corrections and eager to continue their acro education.

Acro Artistry Challenge is a contest available at all Matricks Acro events. Have your chance to win in 3 easy steps.

How to Enter:

Create a short video showcasing aTriple Trick Transition, which includes connecting three of your favourite acro tricks. Get as creative as you can! (You can even rock your Matricks Merch!)
Post on social media and tag @Matricks.Acro & be sure to include our hashtag #MatricksArmy
In your caption tell us about your love for Acro Dance!

Winner will be announced at the final award ceremony and will receive a $100 voucher to a future Matricks Event.

Matricks Acro Scholarships can also be found at select dance competitions throughout North America. Acrobats who are awarded a scholarship at a competition will receive a credit to attend one of our events in the year that the scholarship was received. Scholarships can be used for Canada's Leading Acro Intensive and The Acro Company group classes. Scholarships are not applicable to our Acro Training Camp and Private Lessons.

All scholarships are programmed with a personal single use discount code that must be inputted at the time of registration.

Rules & Regulations

NO REFUNDS will be given out under any circumstances unless a medical note is provided.

Spots are limited. Please ensure to fully complete registration by completing the form and submitting payment to be fully enrolled into the Intensive.

All participants must be between the ages of 7 years old to 18 years old.

Matricks Acro will have photography and videography available at all of our events. Footage will be posted on our social media and for promotional purposes.

No parents/teachers/ or studio directors are permitted into the gym. Please note we host closed events.

Class Ratio: 1 instructor per 10 acrobats

Athletes are divided by skill level and age. Acrobats can be interchanged between classes to better fit their needs.

All athletes are expected to come in appropriate tight fitting attire. Such as bodysuit, shorts, crop top, tank top, leggings. Hair must be tied back and away from the face. There is no jewellery allowed during class.

Remember to bring water, snacks, and a lunch. We do have a water station where kids can refill their water.
